Bidwells hires new group head of sustainability

Bidwells, the real estate consultancy, has appointed Helen Newman as its new group head of sustainability.
She will focus on providing sustainability-related consultancy services, working closely alongside Bidwells’ clients to drive the creation of a more inclusive and sustainable built environment to serve the dual goal of future-proofing investments and delivering positive outcomes for communities and the environment.
Her previous roles include head of sustainable capital and head of sustainability and investor ESG at global real estate advisory firm CBRE.
She previously worked as a consultant for British Land, The Crown Estate and Grosvenor, spearheading green initiatives across the UK.
Newman left CBRE in 2023 to join Fabrix as their director of sustainable investing, and will continue to work with Fabrix as their strategic sustainability adviser.
“Clients increasingly understand the imperative for commercial performance to be delivered alongside positive environmental and social outcomes,” Newman said. “I am delighted to join Bidwells with the opportunity to scale our integrated solutions.”
