Janneke Pruijsen promoted to ESG Team Lead role at Altera

Altera has appointed Janneke Pruijsen new ESG Team Lead. Previously the ESG Manager since 2023, Pruijsen will now spearhead the development and execution of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.
This appointment reinforces Altera’s commitment to integrating ESG criteria into its investment strategy, the company said, as it aims to create increasingly sustainable and resilient real estate portfolios, with the goal of achieving “Paris Proof” status by 2040.
Both the Altera Residential Fund and the Altera Retail Fund have achieved the maximum GRESB rating of five stars since 2019. In 2026, Altera also received B Corp certification.
“Over the past few years, Janneke has demonstrated that she is adept at combining substance, development and ambition within ESG,” said Marleen Bosma-Verhaegh, CEO of Altera. “With her as Team Lead ESG, we are taking our next step towards future-proof property portfolios and long-term sustainable value creation.”
Before joining Altera, Pruijsen worked as a Sustainability and Innovation Consultant at Plus Projects and as a Junior Researcher at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development.
In her new role, Pruijsen will lead the further development and implementation of the ESG strategy across the organisation to translate sustainability priorities into actionable projects.
