Harworth promotes Peter Henry to director of sustainability

Harworth Group has appointed Peter Henry to the newly created role of director of sustainability. He will also be a member of the group’s investment committee.

Henry joined the company in 2012 and has held a number of key roles in the delivery of commercial, residential and energy developments, before being appointed regional director for the Yorkshire and central region in 2019.

In his new role, Henry will lead the development and implementation of the Harworth Way, the group’s ESG programme. His initial focus will be to evolve and embed sustainable development principles into Harworth’s large-scale regeneration projects and he will lead on the formation of the company’s net-zero carbon pathway.

Lynda Shillaw, Harworth chief executive, said: “Peter is ideally positioned to drive our work in this critical area, bringing with him a deep knowledge of our business and stakeholders, and a track record of delivering large-scale regeneration.”
