Syzygy, a provider of embedded renewable energy and low-carbon solutions for real estate, has appointed Craig Hughes, formerly PwC’s global real estate leader, as a senior adviser.

Syzygy helps developers, landlords, asset managers and occupiers to reduce carbon emissions from real estate assets by embedding renewable energy, delivering electric-vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and providing a suite of technology solutions for EV and solar panels.

Hughes led one of the largest real estate advisory teams in the world at PwC and brings a wealth of experience. At Syzygy, his role includes the provision of strategic consultancy to the board, advice on service and product development, as well as recruitment and talent acquisition.

“The property sector is grappling with the challenge of decarbonising its real estate to meet net-zero targets,” said Hughes. “Syzygy is not only a company that can help mitigate the risk of obsolescence, rescuing stranded assets, but also reduce carbon emissions, cut energy costs, enhance value, make the asset attractive to occupiers and investors, and create a revenue stream.”
