Aareal Bank appoints Babic as chief risk officer

Nina Babic has been appointed as chief risk officer at Aareal Bank, replacing Christiane Kunisch-Wolff who has sought to terminate her contract early for personal reasons.

Babic was appointed senior general manager in June 2021 and has been responsible for Aareal Bank’s credit management, which involves lending decisions on new and existing business and monitors loan and counterparty credit risks. She was head of corporate affairs from 2016 to 2021, reporting to the CEO. Prior to that, she worked for eight years at PwC.
