Arminius buys Volkswagen office building from Signa

Frankfurt-headquartered asset and fund manager Arminius Group has acquired a 9,500 sq m office building in Wolfsburg, Germany, from the troubled Austrian Signa Group for a price “in the mid double-digit million range”.

The sale of the building, which is close to the main railway station and is entirely let on a long lease to Volkswagen, was notarised in October 2023.

The six-storey building is located on Willy-Brandt-Platz in the centre of the city and was completed in 2005, then modernised in 2020.

“With the successful completion of the purchase of this first-class rented office property in Wolfsburg from Signa, we are continuing our strategy of sustainably securing valuable commercial properties in the German core markets,” said Christian Molter, managing partner of Arminius.

Arminius Group focuses on commercial real estate across the risk-return spectrum in German regional centres with more than 90,000 inhabitants and it has a minimum lot size of €20 million.
