Union Investment’s dual-branded Munich hotel opens

A 500-room dual brand hotel in Munich, which will be owned by Union Investment, is close to completion and the first guests have been welcomed.

The hotel, developed by Lambert Immobilien and Residia Group, will be operated by Primestar Hotel GmbH and will comprise a Holiday Inn Express and the Hampton by Hilton Munich North.

The hotel complex is located on the Frankfurter Ring near Munich North business district and the while the first guests have already stayed at the 270-room Holiday Inn Express, the 258-room Hampton by Hilton is scheduled to open in two weeks. The Hampton by Hilton includes a fitness centre and meeting spaces and there are 200 parking spaces.

Primestar and the developer have also focused on e-mobility and the hotel has infrastructure that includes two electric cars, charging stations and e-bikes which customers can rent.

Primestar Group currently operates 14 franchise hotels in major German cities and is planning to increase its franchise business in the long term to at least 20 hotels. It is also planning to develop its own three-star brand with up to 20 properties by acquiring existing hotels, leases or operators.
