MNK fund makes Hungarian debut with university buy

Paris-headquartered MNK Partners has acquired a university building in Hungary on behalf of the MNK One Fund.

The building on Frangepán Street in Budapest, occupied by Kodolányi János University, has a leasable area of 7,500 sq m.

The property, located in District XIII, is wholly let to the university on a long lease.

Kodolányi János University is a state-accredited, non-profit university owned by Docler Holding and provides a range of academic programs for both local and international students.

The acquisition marks MNK Partners’ entry into the Hungarian market and follows acquisitions in Poland in 2020.

The buyer was advised by Avison Young and Schoenherr, while vendor Defactoring Group was advised by 108 Agency.
