Configure, how proptech lures people back to healthy offices

Proptech platform Configure is luring people back to the office by using the latest technology to offer fully customised fit-out options, healthy spaces and clean air. Its latest project brings Soho cool to traditional Mayfair with the development of 10,000 sq ft of office space in Pollen8, a brand new project near Hanover Square with a flexible gallery lighting system, underfloor heating, cooling and fresh air, as well as windows that can be opened.
“With the return to the office now imminent post-pandemic it is really important to ensure office spaces are considerate of the health and well-being of the occupiers”, said Alex Morgan, founder, Configure. “Ventilation and spacious lay-outs are at the top of our design agenda.” Super-fast fibre broadband on each floor and smart building integrations such as energy monitoring will also feature.

Configure’s virtual fit-out customisation platform offers tenants the chance to virtually create their ideal office space, providing a range of options on everything from floors, wall partitions, optimal layout, lights, colours and décor, so that prospective tenants can choose the best fit-out for their brand, operations, and employees.
Cost implications are visible in real-time as design specifications are chosen. The rent is visible on the platform, there are no hidden mark ups, and the template lease documents are available for immediate download. The Configure platform also ensures all options are fully deliverable in eight weeks from agreement to lease, allowing for a quicker and easier process for both landlord and tenant.
At Pollen8 tenants will be able to choose from a range of designs that have been pre-approved by Pollen8’s landlord. “Whether that be ‘Soho cool’s’ warehouse-feel with all the trimmings, including exposed bricks and pipes, or whether that be to stay Mayfair chic, or perhaps a mix of the two, the prospective tenant will be able to choose what suits their brand best”, said Ben Vinten, head of platform, Configure.
Some of Configure’s fit-out options will include, open plan desks, bespoke joinery and booth seating, feature walls, hot-desks, and 14-person boardrooms with integrated AV systems to allow employees to enjoy a mix of home and office working post-pandemic.
