In an interview with Real Asset Insight at MIPIM 2025 in Cannes, Neill Richardson, chief executive officer of Titanvolt, said the Newcastle, UK-based company is positioning itself to become a global brand in advanced energy storage for the built environment.
“We’re here at Mipham to tell people about our fantastic battery technology, talk to investors and some customers as well,” he said. “We’ve had a lot of discussions with investors around the bigger picture, so a 10-year plan looking at what Titanvolt can do in the future, which is great for us because I see Titanvolt starting in Newcastle but then becoming a global business.”
Richardson emphasised that Titanvolt is addressing a critical gap in the residential market: “There’s currently no option for a battery that can enter a flat or apartment, mews or maisonette. That is truly safe. So Titanvolt gives them that option.”
He said conversations at MIPIM had focused on technology credibility and safety for real estate applications. “Once they understand the fundamental technology of the battery, then the gloves are off,” he said.
Reflecting on his first experience at the property fair, Richardson added: “I never really appreciated the size of Mipham. The scale is something I could never have imagined. And there’s so many like-minded people who are looking to invest, potential customers. It’s nice to collaborate with a lot of like-minded people.”
