Segro preparing for future uptick in Central Europe

Segro is active in the Polish industrial and logistics real estate market and believes that the current time is a good opportunity to be developing land for interesting tenants in the production and complex logistics sectors, as Segro associate director investment, central Europe, Katarzyna Kotkowska explained.

In conversation with Real Asset Insight’s Richard Betts Kotkowska said the company is also trying to secure new land for future development once the market picks up strongly.

There is potential too for data centre development in CEE. “In Western markets we see some limits on power available especially,” she said. Segro’s experience as owner of one of the largest data centres, located in Sough near London has highlighted some of the challenges and the company is able to apply this experience elsewhere, Kotkowska explained.
