RealCast: Capital predictions, ESG here to stay, prospects for leading European markets

Nick Axford, Nicol Dynes, Paul Strohm and Richard Betts

In the spotlight this week:

Global capital targeting European real estate is likely to increase in 2021 according to a report from Savills which expects an uptick in activity of 10-15% year-on-year. A CBRE survey of European logistics occupiers reveals their attitudes to the market post Covid.

Real Asset Media special guest Nick Axford explains that while issues such as ESG gain in importance at the top of the cycle, but tend to get forgotten when the pressure is on, this time he says, it could be different.  He also points out that the fervour for changing the office may soften once we are out of the actual crisis.

And Nicol Dynes discusses recent Real Asset Media investment briefings on Netherlands and France. Will domestic investors in France hang onto their increased stake in the market in 2021? How big a bounceback will the Netherlands experience, given that its economy has not suffered as much as others during the health crisis?
