Markets hold many unknown factors but resi stays resilient
Rising interest rates, the effects of the war in Ukraine and the aftermath of covid are affecting Europe’s markets differently according to Markus Arnold, CEO & Founder, Arnold Investments
“I think there are a lot of surprises waiting for us – or maybe not, we don’t know yet,” he said, adding that predicting the future is difficult at the moment and even the people who usually do this are very quiet currently because there are so many variables.
But he said that residential properties are a quite secure investment and rising interest rates affect them less than other asset classes.
“You have to live somewhere,” he said. “If you have a good location, if you have the right shaped apartments you will always have renters.”
