Malls clean up by outsourcing restrooms in new hygiene drive

While shopping mall visitors want more hygienic toilet facilities, particularly in the wake of the covid pandemic, restrooms can be a struggle for mall owners to operate, explained Bram Gleichman, chief commercial officer at One Hundred Restrooms.

The company offers a turnkey service which is implemented in existing restroom areas of shopping malls and then operates the facilities.”We have found that visitors are more satisfied with the increased service level and the malls are happy to outsource. Operating restrooms can be expensive so it is a cost saving.”

The company, which started operating in Spain three years ago is now also present in Belgium, The Netherlands and Scandinavia and also provides the service in rail stations and petrol service areas.
