‘Logistics proved that it’s a corona-proof asset class’
Rene Buck, Executive Chairman, BCI Global, tells Real Asset Media’s Richard Betts in an interview that Logistics space take-up declined by only 3% in 2020 from 2019’s record levels and is expected to increase by 14% this year.
BCI Global’s survey of the most important logistics investors shows that expectations are high. Logistics continues to be ‘a hot sector’, Buck said, with ‘a wall of money ready to be invested’.
After the upheaval caused by the pandemic companies are de-risking their supply chains and bringing warehouses closer to their customers, which should benefit European countries, especially Germany and Poland.
