Flexible planning and green zoning should be positive for French market

A new zoning plan coming to Paris in 2024/2025 is set to make the city more green, bringing a better work/life balance and potentially boosting the attractiveness of the city according to Silke Nadolni a Partner at LPA-CGR avocats in an interview with Richard Betts.

Flexible planning regulations, although not yet influencing the Paris market are also now being seen elsewhere in France “one project in Bordeaux obtained an ‘innovative’ building permit which is a totally flexible permit meaning they can do office or another asset class. They have a flexible building” said Nadolni.

Despite concerns in the market around restructurings Nandolni sees a stabilisation in terms of pricing in the French market.
