Schroder REIT appoints Peter Lowe as fund manager

Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed Peter Lowe as fund manager, replacing Nick Montgomery, subject to completion of the consortium acquisition of Picton Property Income. Lowe is currently head of UK real estate investment at Schroders Capital, where he oversees a £2.5 billion diversified institutional mandate. A chartered surveyor with 23 years’ experience, he previously managed a diversified REIT of around £400 million at Columbia Threadneedle and worked at DTZ Investors. Lowe will work alongside co-fund manager Bradley Biggins and will report to Montgomery in his capacity as global head of real estate. Montgomery will support the transition for as long as necessary, after which he will retain oversight of SREIT as chair of the Schroders Real Estate Investment Committee.
