NewRiver appoints Sarah Williams as independent director

NewRiver, the UK retail real estate investment trust, has appointed Sarah Williams as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 August. Williams joins after a 35-year career at EY, including 25 years as a partner. Most recently, she served as risk partner and, from 2024, headed EY’s financial services assurance risk practice. A chartered accountant, Williams was also an EY audit committee member from 2019 to 2026. She will join NewRiver’s audit, remuneration and nomination committees. She previously served as governor and treasurer of Epsom College and Medical Foundation.
