Mende steps in as Klein and Schreppel quit CBRE Germany
Fabian Klein and Peter Schreppel have left CBRE in Frankfurt at their own request after almost 22 years. They will continue to provide consultancy services and will service the firm’s clients until January 2025 to ensure a smooth transition. Kai Mende, CEO of CBRE’s Advisory Services business in Germany and city lead in Berlin, will take on the management of the capital markets team on an interim basis in addition to his existing roles.
Klein joined CBRE in 2002 as managing director / head of investment Germany and started the capital markets division. Schreppel, who also joined in 2002, was initially managing director / head of international investment in Germany. He was appointed CEO in Germany in 2011, returning to to his previous role as head of international investment at his own request in April 2016. He was a member of the European executive committee from 2011 to 2016. From December 2023 to April 2024, he served as interim CEO in addition to his current role.
