Homes England names Melanie Montanari as chief operating officer

Homes England, the government’s housing and regeneration agency, has named Melanie Montanari as chief operating officer, with her taking up the role on 7 September. Montanari joins from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, where she was director of housing strategy and markets. She joined the department in 2019 after working at HM Treasury, where her roles included speechwriter and private secretary to then-chancellor George Osborne. Montanari will support Homes England’s housing and regeneration ambitions.
