Urban Partners appoints Robert Habeck as senior adviser

Germany’s former vice-chancellor Robert Habeck will join Urban Partners, the Copenhagen-based urban investor, as senior adviser on 1 August, focusing on urban transformation and how private capital can support affordable housing. Habeck served as vice-chancellor and federal minister for economic affairs and climate action from 2021 to 2025. He previously held senior roles in Schleswig-Holstein, overseeing energy transition, agriculture, environment and digitalisation. Urban Partners said his experience spanning public policy, sustainability and private industry would support its research and investment approach as the €25 billion company expands further across Germany.
