DEFAMA hires Bernreuther for  management team

Retail parks specialist Deutsche Fachmarkt AG (DEFAMA) which aims to increase its presence in the real estate industry, has recruited Dr Angelus Bernreuther to its management team.

Bernreuther will become head of business development at DEFAMA and will lead the transactions business of the publicly-listed retail property owner.

Bernreuther has more than 20 years of experience in retail and retail property. Most recently, he was head of investor relations in eight European countries for Kaufland from 2017. Prior to that, he was with consultant BBE Handelsberatung where he was head of market research and international affairs.

He is currently co-chair of the European Retail and Entertainment Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

 Currently, DEFAMA has a portfolio of 68 retail parks with a total area of 280,000 sq m, 96% of it leased.
