Andrew Allen has rejoined Savills Investment Management as head of product strategy and development – he worked for Cordea Savills, forerunner of Savills IM, as head of research and strategy from 2004 to 2010.
Allen will now lead Savills IM’s new product activity globally and will directly oversee product delivery in Europe. He will work closely with research and strategy as well as industry teams across the Savills group on thought leadership initiatives and product innovation.
He will be based in London and reports to global chief executive Alex Jeffrey. Allen also joins the Global Executive Committee.
Allen returns to Savills IM from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he was most recently global head of real estate investment research. He also worked for Stifel, formerly Oriel Securities, in real estate securities research.
This business expansion leads to a refocusing of Savills IM’s senior team. James Bury, previously head of product development, becomes head of operations, overseeing technological change projects that impact all investment and client-facing activities.
Scott Simpson, previously head of finance and operations, will become head of corporate finance.
