Akbar Tajani joins Newmark as managing director

Newmark, the commercial real estate advisory and services firm, has appointed Akbar Tajani as managing director in its European debt and structured finance team. Based in London, he will support debt and equity capital raising, property-level financings, and corporate finance and M&A advisory for European and US-based clients. Tajani joins from Barings, where he was a managing director on the portfolio management team. He previously held senior roles at BlackRock, Cantor Fitzgerald and Pine River Capital Management, completing more than £10 billion of transactions across credit, equity and capital markets strategies.
