Hines acquires UK property manager for European roll out

Hines is to acquire a commercial property management company based in the UK and will launch a new management services and operations platform in Europe.
London-based Helix comprises 60 professionals and the firm provides the full breadth of property management services. It currently manages a £3.5 billion commercial real estate portfolio across the UK and which spans all asset classes.
Helix already provides property management services for most of Hines’s UK portfolio including 20 Old Bailey, 7 Soho Square and Atlas House in London, as well as all Hines European Core Fund (HECF), Hines European Value Fund (HEVF) and Hines Global Income Trust (HGIT) assets.
Helix also manages other well-known assets such as The Ark, 6 Bevis Marks, and One Westferry Circus.
Helix to become part of wider Hines business
Hines said in a statement that the property manager will become part of the wider Hines business.
The Helix board and senior management team, led by Amy Soar, will remain in place and Hines director Ivan Harrison will transfer to Helix as UK Head of Operations. Helix founder and owner Robin Fell will retire from the business on completion of the deal.
