ECE Work & Live developing €65m of luxury resi in Rome

ECE Work & Live is to develop an exclusive residential complex in Rome in a €65 million-plus project further extending ECE group’s activities in Italy.

The Hamburg-based company is working with local partners and plans to develop six buildings providing a total of 160 apartments on a 45,000 sq m development site to the west of Rome. The investment volume is more than €65 million. Construction is scheduled to start in 2024 with completion slated for 2026.

The apartments, which will have spacious balconies and terraces, will have up to four bedrooms each. Communal areas will also be provided and will include a lounge, co-working area, gym and green areas, a swimming pool and a children’s play area.

“With this housing project in Rome, we are expanding our investments in the development of international projects as planned,” said ECE Work & Live CEO Henrie Kötter.

“Especially in the current environment, we are concentrating on promising projects in dynamic metropolises in Europe, where modern living space is still in demand, and on the development of an attractive product with a modern design, efficient floor plans and a clear focus on user comfort and sustainability.”

ECE is increasingly active in Italy. ECE Work & Live is also refurbishing a former office property in the centre of Rome and converting it into a hotel for the Ruby Hotels brand. A hotel fund set up by ECE Real Estate Partners is also investing in the modernisation and repositioning of a hotel in Venice.

Meanwhile, ECE Marketplaces already operates four Italian shopping centres, in Rome, Verona, Chieti and Pompei.
