Automating resi rental process could cut manual work by half

Many of the processes associated with managing rented residential real estate are still done manually meaning that there is huge scope for automation according to Lena Tuckermann, founder and CEO of technology-based company Mietz.

Berlin-based Mietz automates the rental process and Tuckermann said there is a lot of potential for innovation because even the larger companies undertake much of the work manually, generating hundreds of emails and phone calls just to discover who is the right tenant, assemble documentation, and physically printing and posting contracts. “That is not very efficient and with the state-of-the-art technology that we currently have we could be able to save 50% to 70% of this manual work. She added that there is also scope for improvement in the commercial lettings sector.
