German logistics specialist LIP Invest has acquired a newly completed logistics centre in Mörfelden-Walldorf, which is near Frankfurt airport, for one of its logistics funds.
The building is LIP’s third for which the occupier is drinks giant Coca-Cola, following purchases at Bad Fallingbostel and Hildesheim.
The latest acquisition was from Hanover-based developr Grundstücksgesellschaft and comprises 12,000 sq m on a 30,000 sq m site. The hall height is 10.5 metres with a floor load capacity of 7.5 tonnes. The property has 20 truck and 51 car parking spaces, some of which are equipped with e-charging stations. LIP’s partner company AvanLog Solar is installing a photovoltaic system with an output of approx. 1 megawatt on the roof of the building. A DGNB Gold certification is being sought for the new building.
