Garbe Institutional kicks off with Amsterdam purchase
Garbe Institutional Capital has acquired a residential development project in north Amsterdam from Dutch developer BLVG Ontwikkeling. The asset has been acquired on behalf of an institutional property investment fund, and marks the start of Garbe Institutional Capital’s expansion as an ESG-focused European platform for residential real estate investments.
The project is located in Klaprozenweg at the entrance to the new Klaprozenbuurt residential district, where more than 2,000 residential units are being built.
Known as Ivy, the building is a 9,791 sq m, 45-metre tall high rise which will be completed by mid-2024. It will provide 157 rental apartments in the lower, medium and free market segments, 49 housing units and 1,165 sq m of commercial space on the ground floor.
Designed by Burton Hamfelt Urban Architecture, the building will meet high sustainability standards and in addition to a green façade, the building will have a low level of energy consumption according to the Dutch Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
