German property company DVI Group and unnamed partners have acquired 210,000 sq m site close to Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, whose delayed opening occurred in October last year.
The site on Waßmannsdorfer Chaussee was acquired from an institutional owner and DVI Group said it will draw up a development plan for commercial uses in cooperation with the community of Schönefeld in Brandenburg. A mixture of warehouse, logistics, office and hotel is envisaged.

In close cooperation with the community of Schönefeld, we will now discuss in the coming months which specific uses are possible at the location and accompany the project until it is ready for planning. “
DVI Group owns residential and commercial real estate with a geographical focus on eastern Germany. The company develops property for in its own portfolio but also takes on project developments up to the procurement of building permits.
