Fifth development start for Panattoni’s Netherlands unit

Panattoni has begun the development of a logistics distribution centre in Almere in the Netherlands, its fifth project in the company since its Dutch subsidiary was established 12 months ago.

The Almere distribution centre will be located on the Stichtsekant Business Park. The new 23,423 sq m development will consist of a 19,666 sq m warehouse area, 2,161 sq m of offices and a 1,596 sq m mezzanine.

The facility will also have 22 Loading docks, five overhead doors and 251 parking spaces. The building is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2022 and it is available for lease. Panattoni said it is building the space to meet the BREEAM Very Good standard.

Almere is considered important because of its strategic location 30 kilometers from Amsterdam and Utrecht while Almere itself has almost 215,000 inhabitants.
