Shared objectives on show as Saudi prepares for 28th WIC

Speaking to Real FDI, Fahad Al-Hashem of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment explained that the nation has recently joined WAIPA (the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies) whose 28th World Investment Conference is about to be staged in Saudi Arabia for the first time.

“As a Kingdom, we’re proud to be part of WAIPA and we are extremely excited to host the first World Investment Conference in Riyadh.”

He said that the event will not only showcase the Kingdom’s values in relation to being a part of WAIPA, but it will also highlight the synergies between the Kingdom and the association as well as their shared objectives: “Our commitment to sustainable investment, our commitment to the environment, our commitment to inclusion. These are all joint, not just visionary statements, they’re joint commitments that we as a Kingdom have already publicly committed to.”

“We believe that it’s a match made in harmony,” he added. “We’re extremely excited to have everybody come and join us at the WIC – we hope we’ll do it proud.”

He said that the conference will set the standard and elevate ambitions, “just to match the energy that we have been bringing in our own Vision 2030 and the ambitions around that,” Al-Hashem said.
