New technology to the fore as ROSHN focuses on Saudi vision
Saudi Arabian property developer ROSHN Group was established as part of the Saudi 2030 Vision initiative which aims to transform different aspects within the country.
The group is contributing to three key strategic objectives. Firstly, it is enhancing the quality of life by providing integrated communities that will reshape the country’s real estate sector. Second, it is working in support of the ambitious vision of increasing Saudi home ownership to 70%. Third, it is part of the public investment fund program to attract and unlock private sector investment, both locally and globally.
“We see this as an opportunity for us, not to adopt their conventional way of building real estate, but rather to revamp the landscape of the sector by introducing new technologies, adapting technologies and leveraging our scale,” said Waleed Bawaked, senior director, strategy and planning, ROSHN.
The company was present at EXPO Real in October to learn but also to showcase its projects in areas such as supply chain resilience. “We are looking into introducing new ways of living when it comes to different asset verticals not only residential but also education and retail, given that it is also part of what ROSHN is providing.
Another target for ROSHN is sustainability Bawaked said.
“Given the scale, we really want to make sure our sustainability efforts are high and are trying as much as we can to minimise carbon footprint when it comes to that specific sector.”
