ROSHN Group, a major real estate developer owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), also joined the Invest Saudi delegation at EXPO Real, showcasing signature projects across cities including Jeddah, Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Khobar and Dammam.

Since launching its flagship Sedra development, a 35 million sq m community in Riyadh, ROSHN has continued its mission to reshape urban spaces in Saudi Arabia. Recently, the group introduced the Aldanah community in Dhahran, the Almanar community in Makkah, and revealed plans for two new stadiums: ROSHN Stadium in Riyadh and Aramco Stadium in Al-Khobar.

“ROSHN was established as part of the 2030 Vision, which aims to transform different aspects within the country,” says Waleed Bawaked, senior director of strategy and planning for ROSHN Group. “We are contributing to three key strategic objectives. One is enhancing the quality of life by providing integrated communities that will reshape the real estate sector in Saudi.

“We are also supporting the ambitious vision of increasing home ownership to up to 70% of Saudis, and also we are part of the PIF programme to unlock private sector investment, both locally and globally.”

ROSHN is set to build more than 400,000 homes, 2,400 schools and create 200,000 jobs, contributing to the country’s broader goal of improving living standards. These new sustainable developments will span more than 200 million sq m.

In addition to housing projects, ROSHN is involved in developing sports infrastructure. In Riyadh, the 45,000-seat ROSHN Stadium will cover 450,000 sq m, while in Al Khobar, the 47,000-seat Aramco Stadium will be a major sports venue in the Eastern Region.

“We see an opportunity for us not just to adopt the conventional way of building real estate, but rather we are trying to revamp the landscape of the sector,” Bawaked says.
