France is now in pole position in Europe in terms of investor sentiment but buying property there, particularly in Paris, can be a highly competitive process.
Faro Capital Partners’ managing partner Guillaume Turcas said that with few investors recycling assets obtaining real estate requires a competitive angle.
He explained to Real Asset Insight’s Richard Betts that one route is to go off market and approach investors directly. “Go to platforms or companies that have really managed their real estate,” Turcas said.
However, he pointed out that one disadvantage of this method is perhaps the large number of approaches that will be necessary before a successful outcome is achieved.
