Partners sought for £1bn Edinburgh health quarter

Ivan McKee, MSP, Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation

The £1 billion transformation required to provide Edinburgh’s Health Innovation District is a central plank in Scotland’s strategy to create a life sciences sector with an £8 billion turnover within the next few years.

As Scotland’s minister for trade, investment and innovation Ivan McKee, MSP explains, the new district will combine a science park with residential and business space and other uses to establish a mixed-use neighbourhood supporting 20,000 people and providing facilities for living, studying, research and generating new businesses.

Today (1 September 2020) is Online Bidders’ Day providing scope for potential partners to provide information about themselves and to participate in a Q&A session about the project.
