New kid on the block will add value to the neighbourhood

New company Nhood, is focused on wider scale improvement of cities as its name, a contraction of “neighbourhood”, suggests.

Global managing director Etienne Dupuy said that the Paris-based company’s aim is to provide better places, and create synergies that help to improve the environment, to help people have a better life and to help create sustainable businesses and thus add value.

Talking to Real Asset Insight’s Richard Betts, he said that he believes mixed-use development, including retail, is key because single use property is becoming an obsolete concept. He said that the carbon emissions inherent in creating a development make it important to maximise the use of a site.

“There is an urgency to act to mitigate climate change,” he added.
