Less cyclical logistics sector better placed for downturn

With ecommerce generating increased demand for logistics property pulling in one direction and a potential downturn providing an opposing force, which way will demand go?

RLI Investors’ managing director Peter Wenzel tells Richard Betts of Real Asset Media that logistics has historically proved less cyclical than other sectors.

For instance, RLI’s sister company Realogis found that demand increased in 2008-2009, during the GFC. And he says that RLI is well prepared for recession with demand from occupiers exceeding land supply.
