Diversification and revenue key benefits of buying senior space

Senior housing and healthcare sector offers investors diversification according to CBRE executive director Stephen Miles.

Miles, CBRE’s head of operational real estate investment in continental Europe, said that one key difference is that the sector provides a revenue driven product, not necessarily large capital gains.

“Investors are looking for stable revenues and this product really gives them access to that,” he said. But the key for risk-averse investors is matching up with best-in-class operators.
