COP26: Bilateral collaboration chance to share best practice

Knowledge and intellectual property sharing is one of the key benefits that will come out of increased collaboration between countries, says Roddy Yarr, executive lead, sustainability at the University of Strathclyde.

Speaking during the recent COP26 climate change conference he told Real Asset Insight’s Richard Betts that the memorandum of understanding and agreement between Scotland and Denmark demonstrates this.

While commending European countries’ “joined-up, whole-systems approach”, Yarr also said: “We can reflect on the Danes’s brilliant district heating schemes and how they generate clean power from waste.”
