Short-term lender Glenhawk appoints new COO and MD

Damani Johnson (L) and Nick Hilton.

UK lender Glenhawk, a short-term property finance specialist, has appointed a new chief operating officer and managing director.

Glenhawk’s former head of compliance Damani Johnson has been appointed chief operating officer. Johnson joined Glenhawk in 2018 soon after its launch and has over 15 years of experience in short-term finance.

Nick Hilton, formerly director of lending, has been promoted to managing director. He joined Glenhawk at the end of 2017, ahead of its launch and, alongside CEO Guy Harrington, has been instrumental in the growth of the business.

Glenhawk said that it has seen exceptional demand for short-term lending products since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the second half of 2020 the firm generated nearly £800 million of new loan enquiries.
