Savills IM hires Evert Castelein for urban logistics strategy

Savills Investment Management has hired Abrdn’s Evert Castelein as senior fund manager. He has been given responsibility for leading a new pooled urban logistics and industrial strategy, intended to exploit the continuing rental growth pressure in undersupplied urban markets.

Evert has over 20 years of experience in real estate, with over a decade in senior real estate fund management roles. At Abrdn he was most recently fund manager on one of the firm’s listed European logistics products. He previously held roles in other funds and real estate research at abdrn and FGH Bank. Evert will continue to be based in Amsterdam and reports to head of strategic partnerships and living Jon Crossfield.
