JLL UK’s CEO hire heralds ‘new transformational chapter’
JLL has appointed PwC partner Stephanie Hyde as CEO of its UK business. Her appointment takes effect in April. She is to replace Chris Ireland who will become chairman of JLL UK.
Hyde has been at PwC for 25 years where she developed client programmes in the UK and globally, and ran PwC’s industry programme with a key focus on technology, transformation and sustainability.
Ireland, who has been at JLL for over 40 years, became the UK CEO in 2016 since when JLL has grown in both transactional markets and new areas of expertise such as sustainability services and ESG, debt advisory and life sciences.
The firm said in a statement that Hyde’s appointment signals a new transformational chapter at JLL in the UK.
“The business community is looking to the real estate industry to help them solve critical questions on sustainability, quality of living and working environments,” Hyde said. “There is huge opportunity for JLL to be at the forefront of these conversations with investors and corporates.”
