Gilbertson takes non exec role at Ground Rents Income Fund
UK-listed Ground Rents Income Fund plc has appointed Barry Gilbertson as an independent non-executive director.
Gilbertson is a consultant with a focus on real estate, strategy and risk, and has more than 45 years’ experience advising on property. A former partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers and former non-executive consultant to Knight Frank, he is also a former president of the RICS and has advised the Bank of England as well as holding advisory appointments with the United Nations and UK Government.
Gilbert succeeds Malcolm Naish who will retire as chairman and as non-executive director of Ground Rents Income Fund at its next annual general meeting.
Gilbertson said: “I am keen to support the board and the wider team in their considerable work navigating upcoming leasehold and regulatory reform in a way which protects the company’s interests, whilst making sure that leaseholders are treated fairly.”
