CBRE appoints Barrientos director in infra team

CBRE Investment Management has appointed Mariana Barrientos as a director in its European private infrastructure markets team.

She will focus on sourcing, executing and asset managing investments as part of the private infrastructure investment team in London. She will take a lead role in global investments, managing relationships with infrastructure partners and client service.

Barrientos has over 10 years’ experience in real assets, most recently at Citibank, where she has been vice president in its power, utilities and renewables investment banking division since 2019. She joined Citibank in 2013 and was promoted to associate in 2015.

CBRE IM said that Barrientos’ appointment is the latest during a period of growth for CBRE Investment Management’s infrastructure capabilities in EMEA. The team in London has completed three investments in the past three months, including the acquisition of two Nordic bus operators as well as co-investing in a utilities connections business in the UK.
