Alison Nimmo takes non-exec role on St Modwen board

St Modwen Properties has appointed Dame Alison Nimmo as a non-executive director. She has joined the board’s audit, nomination and remuneration committees.

Dame Alison has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector and was formerly chief executive of The Crown Estate from 2012 to 2019, previously holding senior roles at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Prior to this, she led major regeneration projects in Sheffield and Manchester having been a consultant at KPMG. She was awarded a CBE for services to urban regeneration in 2004, and a DBE for public services and services to the Exchequer in 2019.

She is a non-executive director of The Berkeley Group Holdings and has been a trustee of the UK Green Building Council, chair of the CBI’s Economic Growth Board, a council member of Imperial College, London, and chair of its White City Syndicate. Most recently, she became a commissioner of The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.
