Property leaders line up for Iberian property summit
Representatives from Orion Capital, Ares Management, Schroders, HIG Capital, Carlyle, Apollo and Greystar are among the main speakers confirmed for the Spain Real Estate Summit to be held at La Finca, Madrid, on 25-26 June.
Organised by Spain’s leading real estate media platform Iberian Property, in collaboration with CBRE and JLL, and supported by Real Asset Media, The Spain Real Estate Summit, will examine the latest trends affecting Iberia’s property markets in detail.
Among the key issues which the summit will address are the transformation of assets, new financing models, increasing the output of affordable housing as well as the effect of new technologies and AI on the property sector and sessions will look at the solutions and opportunities to take advantage of current trends.
Sector-specific sessions will run in parallel to generate interaction and networking between participants, looking in particular at the retail, hotels, logistics and data centres segments.
The summit will look at the region from an international perspective and speakers from leading Iberian companies Merlin Properties, Lar España, Azora, Sonae Sierra and Aedas Homes will be joined by those from global companies such as Ares Management, Apollo, Orion Capital Managers, Schroders, HIG Capital, Carlyle, Oracle and Greystar.
Juan María Nin Génova, former vice-chairman and CEO of La Caixa and currently president of think tank Círculo de Empresarios, will present his vision of the Spanish economy. He will explain what the key lessons are for the future and will set out the main opportunities and risks.
Adolfo Ramírez-Escudero and Enrique Losantos, respectively CEOs for Spain of CBRE and JLL, will analyse the challenges facing the sector while Alex Rayón, co-founder and CEO of Brainandcode.tech and Nicolás Franco, director of Bootcamp AI at IE University and director of Software Development at Mr Houston Tech Solutions, will analyse how artificial intelligence is changing our lives.
In another session, Domingo Etcheverría, from Carlyle, and Guillaume Baron, from Santander, will give keynotes on financing projects in the face of current challenges. James MacNamara, from Schroders; Riccardo Dallolio, from HIG; and Cristina García-Peri, from Azora, will look at strategies for the successful repositioning of assets.
Residential experts Aref Lahham, from Orion Capital Managers; Kevin Cahill, from Ares Management; Karin Koks, from Greystar; and David Martínez, from AEDAS Homes, will highlight the obstacles to housing development, examine how the market has changed during the last decade, and will consider the role that public-private partnerships can play.
Real Asset Media’s publisher Richard Betts and Real FDI editor Courtney Fingar will each moderate a number of the panel discussions.
